OUR MARCH 02ND SPAY DAY EVENT IS "FULL"

Our next spay day is scheduled for Sunday, March 02nd. Sign up will begin on Monday, January 28th.  Pre-registration is necessary.  The cost is $5.00 per cat or $10.00 per dog.  You must qualify to participate.  Qualifications include unemployment, food stamps, social security, low-income, disability.  Please call the shelter office if you have further questions on whether you qualify at 574-256-0886.  You may come in to sign up during ANY of our adoption events or during the daytime hours of 10:00 - 3:00.  Pre-registration forms are available through the "Pet Refuge shelter" only.   Please note that you CANNOT register at Kryder Vet clinic.  SPACE IS LIMITED!

Our Spay day held on March 25, 2007, was another success!  We, along with the Vets and Vet Techs who donated their time, spayed and neutered "46 cats" and "31 dogs".

Spay Day event on October 15th:  Due to the continued overwhelming need, we had our second "spay day event" on October 15th where "37 dogs" and "59 cats" from the community were spayed and neutered!  A very special "thank you" to the Vets and Vet Techs at Kryder Vet Clinic for their help with this special day. An extra special thank you to the volunteers of Pet Refuge who gave up yet another day away from their families to help with this event!

WE NEED YOUR HELP! 

PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING TO HELP SPAY OR NEUTER A CAT OR DOG IN OUR COMMUNITY.

ON FEBRUARY 12, 2006  OUR FIRST SPAY DAY WAS HELD. 24 DOGS & 73 CATS FROM THE COMMUNITY WERE SPAYED & NEUTERED.  THIS HELPED MANY FAMILIES IN THE COMMUNITY THAT WERE UNABLE TO NORMALLY AFFORD THIS PROCEDURE TO BE DONE.

A DONATION TO OUR SPAY DAY WILL HELP REDUCE THE OVERPOPULATION PROBLEM OF CATS & DOGS  IN OUR COMMUNITY.
