Marley is a sweet old (9 or 10) guy that recently became blind. The blindness appears to be related to his retinas. He has adjusted well to his new situation and foster home. He has became more comfortable but these type of life changes are very scary. In two months he was in two different shelters and another foster home before coming to Pet Refuge and in his current foster home back in January 2017. We were asked to take him in as a special request from another shelter where he was not adjusting to his blind & deaf foster sibling.
He will need a special home due to his disability. He will do well with older children that understand his disability. He will take a little while to adjust to new settings and needs a very patient person to help with that. He gets attached to his people and does well with them. He gets a little nervous but anyone would be if you can’t see what is going on around you. He is learning commands to help with stairs and moving about.
He loves to give kisses, especially your ears. He loves to be with you and follow you around. He is the sweetest dog you would meet. He is a shepherd/lab mix. Please consider sponsoring him to help with medical care, food and supplies to help him due to his blindness.
He does not attend adoption events at this time so please call to meet him. (*)(male)(50 pounds)
