Marley is a sweet old guy that recently became blind. We are still researching the cause of his blindness but it appears to be related to his retinas. He is still adjusting to his new situation and foster home. He is becoming more comfortable but these type of life changes are very scary. In the past two months he was in two different shelters and another foster home before coming to Pet Refuge and in his current foster home. We were asked to take him in as a special request from another shelter where he was not adjusting to his blind & deaf foster sibling.
He will need a very special home due to his disability. He will not do well with small children. He will take a little while to adjust to new settings and needs a very patient person to help with that. He is easily scared but anyone would be if you can’t see what is going on around you. He is learning commands to help with stairs and moving about.
He loves to give kisses, especially your ears. He loves to be with you and follow you around, however he can be a little protective. He is the sweetest dog you would meet. He is a shepherd/lab mix. Please consider sponsoring him to help with medical care, food and supplies to help him due to his blindness.
He does not attend adoption events at this time. (*)(male)(50 pounds)
