The Pet Refuge cat and dog departments are in need of your help!

Please consider filling out a Volunteer Application...Come into our office to get an application and talk to us about all of the opportunities that are available.

Shelter cat and dog cleaners:  Volunteers are always needed to come and take care of the cats and dog that must stay at our shelter.  The cat department has three (3) rooms of cats which needs one volunteer to come in once a day, per room.  A minimum of 2-3 hours per room would be required to allow you to feed/water, change litter boxes, sweep/mop room and of course, spend time with the cats!  The dog department has three (3) cleaning shifts; morning, afternoon, nighttime.  A minimum of three hours would be needed for each cleaning shift to feed/water, sweep/mop kennels, take dogs outside and of course, playtime with the dogs.  For the dogs, you would work with 2-3 other volunteers on the cleaning shift.

Office Volunteers:  Our shelter is staffed by office volunteers, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 - 3:00.  If you interested in helping in this area, you would need to have some prior phone experience and be available from 10-3.  

Fundraising:  If you cannot commit or have the time for a weekly cleaning shift or in the office, "fundraising" for Pet Refuge is an important cause.  We have formed a "Guild" and your talents are welcomed to help this committee bring in the dollars to help us continue to take care of our cats and dogs and the animals still waiting for our help. 	All three (3) cat rooms need  volunteers  to come in each day to tidy up the rooms, clean litter boxes, water and feed the kitties and of course, playtime with the cats!  You can sign up to clean one specific room.	Please email us or call our office if you are interested in volunteering to help take care of our office cats! We are "always" in need of help!

	The dog department has three (3) cleaning shifts; morning, afternoon and evening.  Volunteers are needed for each cleaning shift to sweep & mop kennels, take dogs outside to potty and get fresh air and feed and water and last but NOT least, playtime with the dogs!	The dogs can enjoy running in our main, fully fenced yard and side yard and we also have smaller, outside kennels that are used so that more dogs can have more outside time!  Doggie playgroups and even a swim in the kiddie pool are some extra enjoyments our dogs receive when outside.
