SODA "No need for 4 legs when you can do everything with just 3!" "And this is so probably because I am a Labrador and only 2 years old!" Soda had an accident and although attempts were made to fix his leg, in the end, it had to be removed. But, dogs adjust and so has he. He is a totally friendly boy and probably one of the most happiest dogs you will ever meet. He is housebroken and has done well around some other dogs. A fenced yard is preferred. |

LUCILLE "Ahhh, maybe a little highlights could hide the little bit of grey here and there". We know Lucille, it is heck to get older! But, even the more mature gals deserve that forever home too and Miss Lucille is going to patiently wait. She came to us from another shelter and was taken out of a hoarding situation. She captured our hearts and we know she will do the same to yours. She is a Spaniel mix of about 8-9 years old. She is housebroken but probably could not hold it for an 8 hour work day so she would appreciate having a human companion who is around a little more often. She has done well with other dogs and even cats. A comfortable dog bed, 2 square meals-a-day and lots of love will make this gals dreams come true. |

JACK Jack is a 3 year old White Shepherd/Husky mix who was adopted as a puppy and was cared for wonderfully. Unfortunately Jack had too hard of a time learning to love the cat of the house and is now in need of a new home. Jack's a great guy with a very loving personality. He gets along well with other dogs and should do fine with older children as well. Because of the Husky in him, Jack needs a fenced yard in his new home.  |

MARLA "Quite the unusual sit pose"! I think she really didn't want to sit for her picture as she would rather get out in our yard and play but we had picture taking business to get done! Marla came to us from another shelter and her exact breed is a guess. She probably has some Lab in there but has some beautiful spotting on her chest and feet as you can see from her picture. She is about 45 pounds and a nice medium size dog. Marla is a young gal of about 1 years old. She is on-her-way learning some obedience commands but will need to have someone continue with this. Marla is a young gal with lots of energy and a fenced yard is preferred. |

TRINITY Available August 4 Such a unique girl! This is Miss Trinity. She is a 2 year old chow mix who tends to be a little more on the shy side. Trinity interacts well with other dogs. She's more of a laid back girl who prefers quiet time basking in the sun. Trinity does love her cuddle time as well. How can you not love that face? |

BETTY Oh Miss Betty just loves to give hugs! She is a Lab/Shepherd mix of about 60 pounds so that is a lot of hug to receive. She is a sweet gal who should do well around most other dogs and older children. Betty has lots of energy and a fenced yard is preferred. |

Hi! My name is Rudolph. I am a 1 1/2 year old Min Pin. I have been working really hard on my manners and housebreaking. My foster mom says I have come a long way but I am still working on it. I love to run and play. I am always up for a game of fetch with my favorite squeaky toy. I really enjoy being around my human family. I am looking for someone who will be home most of the day with me because sometimes I get really scared when you leave. I am still learning that you are going to come back to me when you leave. I love to go on long walks and I get along great with other dogs especially if they will play tug of war with me! At the end of a long walk or a good play I will be very happy to curl up on the sofa next to you and watch some TV. If you have lots of love and time to spend with me, I would love to meet you! |

MOJO Here's Mojo! Lots of energy in this guy. Mojo is a Shepherd mix of about 2 1/2 years old. He is housebroken and does well around most other dogs - especially females. He gets excited when out in the yard and really enjoys barking at other dogs, children and people passing by, so he'll need some work on that or perhaps you wouldn't mind that. A privacy fence would be nice! He is an affectionate and loving dog.

BANJO It's hard to snap a picture of this man when he's not on the move! Banjo is a Beagle of about 6-7 years old. Don't let that age fool you. This little man is full of life!! He loves to play with other dogs of all sizes and would probably do well with children as well. Banjo is all beagle, so his new home should have a fenced in yard so he's not tempted to follow that nose of his too far! |

DUKE Duke is a German Shepherd of 2 years old. He is very smart and knows several obedience commands. He does well around most other dogs and is housebroken and crate trained. Duke will need a home that has previous Shepherd experience and can work with him on continued obedience and manners. A home with teenage+ children and a fenced yard is required.

FRANKLIN Franklin, Frank, Frankie... whatever you choose to call him, you can't help but call him cute! Franklin is a young hound mix who joins us from another shelter. Frank's a friendly guy who enjoys spending his days playing with other dogs, splashing in pools, chasing tennis balls and sharing slobbery kisses with his people. Basically, he's just an all around fun boy! |

NATE Nate returns to us due to no fault of his own. Nate is a 5-6 year old Dobie mix who just loves to be petted. He'll even give you his paw for more if you stop too soon! Car rides and walks or runs also rate high on his list! Nate sometimes forgets that he is not the boss, so an experienced owner would be best for him. Also any kids in his home should be teenage or older. Nate does well with all the other dogs at Camp K9 where he spends his days. |

BRIDGET Here’s Bridget! Bridget is a 3 year old Border Collie rescued from a puppy mill. Bridget has made HUGE progress since first arriving at Pet Refuge. She loves to be petted and really just wants someone to love her. She is very smart and does have a lot of energy like most Border Collies. Bridget would be best with no other animals in the house and should do fine with children over 12. Bridget is crate trained and is almost housebroken. Because of her energy level Bridget will also need a fenced yard. Come meet this loving girl and fall in love!! |

KITTY Kitty has no idea what to think of this picture-taking ordeal! She is a great dog and my guess would be, she will be an agility winner some day! Kitty may do best in a home with no other dogs or perhaps a male dog. She is a great looking Border Collie of about 3-4 years old.
Kitty has recently started attending Agility class to boost her confidence. Antoinette, Owner and Instructor of "Top Hat & Tails" is helping her by giving her treats to make her feel a little more at ease. EVEA Evea is a 2 year old Chihuahua - Rat Terrier mix. She is housebroken & would tell you if she wants to go out! She loves to go for walks (in the summer time) and would like to be the only dog in the house. She is good with older children (13+) and gets attached to one person once she gets to know you. She needs a fenced in yard. She LOVES to play fetch with her toys(though she doesn't always bring them back!) When she's in the kennel at Pet
Refuge then she doesn't show well, once you take her out to play then
she is fine. If you leave her at home when you're gone, she does not
destroy anything (she's good! You don't have to crate her). Update: If you are interested in Evea, please call or e-mail to make arrangements to meet her since she doesn't attend all adoption events. |

GABBY Gabby is a Boxer/Labrador mix of a little over a year old. Her new home should be one that has older children previous dog experience. She is a good girl but does tend to become a little protective over her family. She would benefit from continued obedience classes to help her with more socialization. Gabby has recently started to attend beginner agility and by the end of the class she was even going through the tunnels which is great! A fenced yard is required.

JANEY Janey is a 2 year old lab mix with a lot of energy and lots of love to give! She loves to go for long walks and is up for any kind of adventure. Janey loves a game of catch me if you can, so a fenced yard is required for this active girl. She is working on her recall and does well with training (especially if treats are involved!) Janey also loves to snuggle and likes to be a lapdog if you'll let her. She enjoys being brushed and getting any affection, and isn't shy with kisses! She gets along great with both dogs and cats and would love a family to call her own. |

CHANDLER
Chandler is an 11 pound, 2-year-old Chihuahua
mix. He is very loving and snuggly with people he knows. He is dog
and cat friendly. He loves to chew on a squeaky toy & play chase
with his foster brother. He growls at strangers and therefore needs
time to get used to new people. He is working on potty training in
his foster home. We request that his adopters have no young children
and have previous dog experience.

DELILA This spunky little Puggle is Delila who is 2 1/2 years old and seeking that special home that will have some time to spend with her and provide her with some good exercise. Delila would prefer to be the only dog in the home as she just doesn't want to share the attention. A home with older children and a fenced yard would make this gals wish list complete! |

JONAH Jonah came from another shelter and is a Chow mix of about 1 - 1 1/2 years old. Jonah is a sweetie in need of continued obedience work and is 99% housebroken. I do not think he has learned to properly play with other dogs prior to coming with us but he should do well with most other dogs that will either tolerate him or teach him proper play! He is still quite the playful pup so a home with older children would be best. A fenced yard is preferred. As pictured below, Jonah is quite affectionate and it is very hard to get past him without getting a hug and a smooch!

DOBBIE Dobbie (AKA Dobbs or Dobbers) is a gentle pup of about 10 months. He is part Treeing Walker Coon Hound and might be part Spaniel. He has been to puppy classes and knows his basic obedience commands. He is 97% housebroken with only occasional accidents. He is a great jumper, so he will need a 6 foot fence. Among the things he loves are: treats, long walks/running, napping in the afternoon sun, meeting new dogs and people, chasing cats, birds and squirrels, getting long neck scratches and he really enjoys a good brushing. Some of his dislikes include: being home alone (he really needs a buddy dog), loud noises and a lot of people coming and going. |

GYPSY Gypsy is an Australian Shepherd mixture of about 1 1/2 years old. She is an active gal who enjoys running in our yard and playing fetch with the tennis ball. She should do well around older children and a fenced yard is preferred. |

Bebe is a flat coated retriever who looking for a quiet home to call her
own. She is what we would call reserved - in fact, shy would be a good
description of her. She has excellent house manners and loves her

BILLIE Hi, I am Billie and I was brought in because my former owner had to move and couldn't take me with her. So now I am looking for a new forever home. I am a 7 year old male Fawn Pug & I am housebroken. I need a fenced in yard so that I can run and play. I would do well with another dog and children. Billie likes to sit on the couch with you and sleep in your bed. Oh, yes I do snore but not too loud. I also like to watch Animal Planet and will make you laugh every day. Won't you please come and see me, I know you will fall in love with me. I have a couple of minor medical problems.
I need to take Phenobarbital 2x day for seizures and Glucosamine for hip
problems. Both of these are very reasonably priced. |

THUNDER Thunder is a Chow/Shepherd mixed puppy.
He just turned 5 months in June. Thunder is crate trained and is about
99% house trained. Also, he likes to go on walks, likes other dogs,
and loves treats. He loves to play and is well behaved. Thunder is
still in his teething phase (so watch out for those puppy teeth) and
is a little more independent, but he still loves to be with people!

ISAAC Isaac came to us from another shelter and we are happy to have him! He is a black Labrador mix of about 1-2 years old. He is housebroken and does well around other dogs. He should do fine around older children. He enjoys going for leash walks and knows several obedience commands. Isaac is a nice sized medium/large boy of about 60'ish pounds. |

LACEY Lacey had other things on her mind instead of having her picture taken! I think she wanted to romp in the yard! So, a profile shot is all I could get. But isn't she beautiful? Lacey came to us from another shelter and is a Treeing Walker Coonhound of about 8 years old. Lacey enjoys being around people, exploring in the yard and basically being a Hound-girl. She may do well around some other dogs but felines are not in her future! She should do fine around older children and a fenced yard is preferred. |

DARWIN This handsome fellow is Darwin. Darwin is a 2 year old Jack Russell Terrier. He's a super sweet guy who just wants a lap to lay in. Darwin would do best in a home with older children. He has plenty of energy like any other Jack Russell and would do best with a fenced in yard in which to run in. Darwin enjoys playing fetch. |

TINKERBELL
Tinkerbell is a very special girl. Rescued form a shelter, her
previous owners did not care for her dry eye and our veterinarians
decided the best route for her would be to have her eye removed.
That has happened and she is back to her playful self. Tinkerbell
loves all dogs but is a rough player. She however doesn’t care for
the felines so a cat free home is needed. She would require a fenced
yard because she is so fast and eager to go. An active family would
be great for her. She is fine with all two legged people.

EINSTEIN Einstein is a French bull dog mix of three years. This poor dog lived his entire life on the porch in a cat carrier. A wonderful person convinced the owner that Pet Refuge could find this guy a great home with love and patience. Einstein is very shy of people but loves other dogs. We are working on his housebreaking and he's learning quickly. He needs to go to a home with very patient people to spoil him and give him the love that was lacking the first part of his life. Can we make sure that the last part of his life is absolutely the best. |

OLIVER
Oliver is a wonderful dog. He
is a husky/jack russell mix and he's almost a year old (his birthday
is August 26). He is smart, social and very
energetic. He truly wants to be your best friend and if you could
take him to work with you, he would love to go! Oliver is completely
housetrained, LOVES new people and all dogs, is great with kids and
knows many obedience commands. He will do best with another
energetic dog to play with. He does not jump or climb fences so a 4
foot fence would do fine for him. In his leisure time he enjoys
hanging out with his human family, chasing the wildlife in the
backyard, long walks and eating as many treats as you will give
him.

Preston is a 2 year-old male Chion - a Papillion/Chihuahua mix. He is a
true lap dog and enjoys cuddling and giving kisses. He sleeps in bed
with his foster mom and his feline foster brothers and sisters. Preston also enjoys the company of other dogs, he likes to go on car rides and be close to his family and he is already crate trained and housebroken. |

JACKSON Here's our boy Jackson! He's a 6 year old German Shorthaired Pointer with a great smile! Jackson is a super nice boy, but he sometimes gets nervous when meeting new people which is why Jackson is back playing his days away at Camp K9 waiting for his perfect forever home. Jackson also has a little dislike of cats, so no felines in the perfect home! Jackson's ideal home would be a quiet setting with not a lot of commotion. KAIN
My name is Kain and I am a very brave 3 ½ month old Shepard -lab mix
puppy. I came to Pet Refuge after I was injured and my owner could not
afford the surgery to repair my leg. Somehow, I fell out of a car
window and broke my back leg. Unfortunately after trying to save
my leg, it did not heal right and I wasn’t feeling too well. So
now I have three legs and my foster family calls me a “tripod”, but I
don’t know what the big deal is. I am feeling much better and can’t wait
to run all over the yard. I could do it now but my foster family says I
need to heal. I am a very sweet boy and learning lots of new
tricks daily. I am looking for my forever family to love me and I
will love them back.
My surgeries were a little costly. I would be so grateful if you could
help Pet Refuge with any donations towards the cost. They have been so
good to me!

FRANKIE Let us introduce Frankie. He is a shepherd mix puppy. He is going to be a BIG boy. But he has a big heart to go along with his size. SOPHIE Sophie is a Shepherd mix puppy. She is not as big as her brother Frankie but still will be a larger dog when full grown. Sophie is very outgoing and active. These 6 adorable puppies are lab mixes – their mother was a lab and
their
father hasn’t come forward yet. But whatever they might be mixed with,
they sure are adorable. They
will
be 8 weeks old on Saturday, July 31st and will most likely be
medium-large dogs when fully grown.
This
litter had a rough start in life. They were orphaned when they were just
a few days old and were raised with a bottle. By now, all six of them
are happy and healthy puppies that can’t wait to move into their forever
homes where they can run and play all day.

feels more secure in a covered cage when there are thunderstorms or
fireworks. He requests a fenced-in yard with no cats and children
under the age of 8.

COACH Available August 4 You may not be able to tell from his picture but Coach here is a Great Dane of 3 years old. Poor guy was turned into another shelter due to a new baby in his previous home. Coach came to us in poor shape and is in a foster home getting plenty of love and good food and putting on some much needed weight. Coach is a super happy guy who just wants to be friends. He does well with other dogs and despite his size, he does well with children too! Is there room in your bed for this big fella? |

GABE Available August 4 This happy boy is Gabe, a 4 year old English Setter who recently joined us from another shelter. Gabe is in the process of gaining some much needed weight. In the meantime, he's having a great time playing at Camp K9 everyday. Gabe does well with the other dogs in daycare and truly loves every person he meets.
