OLIVER This 10-month old, 70-pound high energy Labradoodle is a work in progress. He has basic obedience and is very friendly. Oliver does well with other dogs and cats that are confident around dogs. He would do well in a setting where he would get plenty of attention and exercise. But no small children because of his rowdy disposition. In the right family, this boy has lots of potential!  |

MOJO Here's Mojo! Lots of energy in this guy. Mojo is a Shepherd mix of about 2 1/2 years old. He is housebroken and does well around most other dogs - especially females. He gets excited when out in the yard and really enjoys barking at other dogs, children and people passing by, so he'll need some work on that or perhaps you wouldn't mind that. A privacy fence would be nice! He is an affectionate and loving dog.

JACKSON Jackson is a 6 year old German Shorthaired Pointer who comes to us because he has decided he doesn't want to live with cats. Jackson is a sweet guy who loves to just be loved. He does well with other dogs, although he prefers those who are a little more laid back. Jackson should be fine with older kids as well.  |

WYATT Does this happy face not say a thousand words? Wyatt is a Lab mix of 2 years old. He enjoys playing with other dogs and has lived with children. He was given up due to personal family issues and doesn't want to have to stay at the shelter for too long. He is housebroken and a fenced yard to run and play in is preferred. He is a bigger boy weighing about 70 pounds. He also does have ears but they went flat to his head every time I would take a picture of him!

FLY Although I love them all...I do believe this boy is one of my favorites! You can't help but love him. To get this picture, all I had to say was "kitty-kitty" or make a "meow" noise and the eyes were alert and the head was turning. I; however, am not sure what that exactly means on Fly's liking or disliking of the feline nature! Fly is one of the rescued Border Collies and is a little older than the rest - probably around 8 years old. He might have been the head boy around his last place, because he really doesn't care for other male dogs too much. Fly also has a heart murmur but shows no outward signs and is ready to run around as much as possible. |

MACEY Meet Miss Macey.. she is a lab mixed with maybe some Weimaraner. Macey's a very smart and very loyal girl. She loves to play with other dogs but unfortunately never learned to be nice to kitties, so a feline-free home is needed for her. Macey has excellent house manners, is fully potty trained and does well with older children. Macey would love to have a fenced in yard in her forever home as well. |

ARES, VENUS, NICK, NORA, BAILEY, MAVERICK AND DAKOTA These seven Lab-mix puppies were rescued a few weeks ago. As of Feb. 26, they are about 10 weeks old and will be ready for their forever homes on March 3. ARES Ares is an active little puppy who enjoys playing with toys and with his foster siblings. He loves other dogs and cats and will require a fenced-in yard in his new home. To make sure that Ares will turn into the best puppy he could possibly be, we recommend taking him to puppy training classes. If you are looking for a playful pup, Ares is the boy for you! And just look at his face - isn't he just irresistible?  |

VENUS Venus is Ares's little sister girl! And just like her brother, Venus enjoys her playtime and she likes the company of other dogs and cats. However, most of all, Venus loves people! She is sweet and cuddly and enjoys being the center of attention and getting her little belly rubbed. Venus would also benefit from puppy training classes and will require a fenced-in yard. If you think that Venus might be the pup for you, come and visit her at one of our upcoming adoption events - she's definitely ready for some cuddle-time!  |

GRACIE Gracie Mae is a one year old Shepherd mix who is only 18 lbs. She is kind of a miniature shepherd. Gracie is shy and reserved but if you are willing to give her time to get to know you, she will be your loyal companion. Gracie is housebroken and is looking for her one true person to make her dream of a forever home come true.  |

DUKE Duke is a German Shepherd of 2 years old. He is very smart and knows several obedience commands. He does well around most other dogs and is housebroken and crate trained. Duke will need a home that has previous Shepherd experience and can work with him on continued obedience and manners. A home with teenage+ children and a fenced yard is preferred. |

NATE Nate returns to us due to no fault of his own. Nate is a 5-6 year old Dobie mix who just loves to be petted. He'll even give you his paw for more if you stop too soon! Car rides and walks or runs also rate high on his list! Nate sometimes forgets that he is not the boss, so an experienced owner would be best for him. Also any kids in his home should be teenage or older. Nate does well with all the other dogs at Camp K9 where he spends his days. |

BRIDGET Here’s Bridget! Bridget is a 3 year old Border Collie rescued from a puppy mill. Bridget has made HUGE progress since first arriving at Pet Refuge. She loves to be petted and really just wants someone to love her. She is very smart and does have a lot of energy like most Border Collies. Bridget would be best with no other animals in the house and should do fine with children over 12. Bridget is crate trained and is almost housebroken. Because of her energy level Bridget will also need a fenced yard. Come meet this loving girl and fall in love!! |

KITTY Kitty has no idea what to think of this picture-taking ordeal! She is a great dog and my guess would be, she will be an agility winner some day! Kitty may do best in a home with no other dogs or perhaps a male dog. She is a great looking Border Collie of about 3-4 years old.
Kitty has recently started attending Agility class to boost her confidence. Antoinette, Owner and Instructor of "Top Hat & Tails" is helping her by giving her treats to make her feel a little more at ease. BRANSON Branson is a Shepherd mix of about 1 1/2 years old. He has quickly become the wonderful friend to several volunteers but he is ready to be a nice companion to a forever home. He enjoys to go for walks and is very good in the car. A fenced yard is preferred. A home with older children is needed. |

EVEA Evea is a 2 year old Chihuahua - Rat Terrier mix. She is housebroken & would tell you if she wants to go out! She loves to go for walks (in the summer time) and would like to be the only dog in the house. She is good with older children (13+) and gets attached to one person once she gets to know you. She needs a fenced in yard. She LOVES to play fetch with her toys(though she doesn't always bring them back!) When she's in the kennel at Pet
Refuge then she doesn't show well, once you take her out to play then
she is fine. If you leave her at home when you're gone, she does not
destroy anything (she's good! You don't have to crate her). |

GABBY Gabby is a Boxer/Labrador mix of a little over a year old. Her new home should be one that has older children previous dog experience. She is a good girl but does tend to become a little protective over her family. She would benefit from continued obedience classes to help her with more socialization. Gabby has recently started to attend beginner agility and by the end of the class she was even going through the tunnels which is great! A fenced yard is required.

JANEY Janey is a 2 year old lab mix with a lot of energy and lots of love to give! She loves to go for long walks and is up for any kind of adventure. Janey loves a game of catch me if you can, so a fenced yard is required for this active girl. She is working on her recall and does well with training (especially if treats are involved!) Janey also loves to snuggle and likes to be a lapdog if you'll let her. She enjoys being brushed and getting any affection, and isn't shy with kisses! She gets along great with both dogs and cats and would love a family to call her own. |

CHANDLER
Chandler is an 11 pound, 1 1/2-year-old Chihuahua
mix. He is very loving and snuggly with people he knows. He is dog
and cat friendly. He loves to chew on a squeaky toy & play chase
with his foster brother. He growls at strangers and therefore needs
time to get used to new people. He is working on potty training in
his foster home. We request that his adopters have no young children
and have previous dog experience.

COOPER Lab mixes give us the happiest pictures! Cooper is housebroken and has very nice house-manners. He is a playful, happy four year old lab mix. He is great with other dogs and fine with cats too. Cooper can be shy around new people, but warms up quickly. A fenced yard is preferred.

CALLIE Callie is a cattle dog of about 3 and would make a wonderful addition to your family. Callie is housebroken and does well with all dogs. She is spayed and up to date on all her shots and heartworm preventive. Callie does need a fenced yard.

JAKE This big smile never leaves Jake's face! Such a happy boy... Jake is a 6 year old lab mix who's situation was very sad. His dad loved Jake very much and hated to have to find him a new home, but sometimes circumstances are beyond one's control. We promised Jake's dad we would find him a great home, and we will do just that. Jake truly loves everyone he's met and should make a great addition to any family! Jake's a big boy weighing in at over 120 pounds... but that just means there's more of him to love! |

SALSA Miss Salsa is about 5 months old, and she's a mix of Lab, Rottweiler, Aussie & Heeler. She has a very sweet and mellow disposition. She's 80% house trained, and working on crate training as well, in her foster home. Also in her foster home, she gets along with other dogs (she's quite submissive) and wants to play with the cat. She has also been well behaved around the baby. A privacy fence is ideal for Miss Salsa, as she's capable of going over a 4 foot fence. |

LUCY Lucy is a large mixed breed-puppy of approximate 4+ months. She is a loving and happy dog. She is doing well with her crate training and her housebreaking skills are improving. Lucy loves to play with other dogs and enjoys the snow. Lucy gives lots of kisses. She would like a loving, consistent family to help her with big dog manners. |

DELILA This spunky little Puggle is Delila who is 1 1/2 years old and seeking that special home that will have some time to spend with her and provide her with some good exercise. Delila would prefer to be the only dog in the home as she just doesn't want to share the attention. A home with older children and a fenced yard would make this gals wish list complete! |

CHARLOTTE Charlotte is all about people and she loves being around anyone that will give her attention. She came from another shelter so some of her past is unknown. We have come to learn that she is quite the love and should do well with children and adults alike. She is a larger size poochie weighing about 80 pounds and we believe her mixture to be Shepherd and St. Bernard mix. She is about 2-3 years old. Charlotte may do well around another male dog but does not seem to care for a few of the female dogs we have in the shelter. |

ROOGER Rooger's family moved and could not take him a long with them, so he is in need of a new home. He is a Husky of about 3-4 years old. He has excellent kennel manners and I would tend to believe that he would have the same in his new home. The other dogs at the shelter do not seem to bother him so he may do well around most other ones. A home with older children and a fenced yard would be best for him. |

JONAH Jonah came from another shelter and is a Chow mix of about 7-8 months old. Jonah is a sweetie in need of continued obedience work and is 99% housebroken. I do not think he has learned to properly play with other dogs prior to coming with us but he should do well with most other dogs that will either tolerate him or teach him proper play! He is still quite the playful pup so a home with older children would be best. A fenced yard is preferred. As pictured below, Jonah is quite affectionate and it is very hard to get past him without getting a hug and a smooch!

DOBBIE Dobbie came to us along with his sister and is a Red Tick Hound/Australian Shepherd mix of 5 months old. He has so much sweetness in his heart and will make a loving family member to your home. He will need continued obedience work and also some finishing work with housebreaking. He should grow to be a nice size dog of possibly 60-70 pounds. |

LING LING Ling Ling is a 5-6 year old Smooth Coated Chow Chow. She was rescued from another shelter where she and her daughter Chow Mein (who has been adopted) were left. Ling Ling may take a few minutes to warm up to you, but she is a true joy once she knows you! Ling Ling appears to have had some skin issues on her hind quarters, but it is healing wonderfully and most of her hair has even grown back! Ling Ling would probably do best in a home with breed experience. She does great with all other dogs and should be fine with cats as well. |

GYPSY Gypsy is an Australian Shepherd mixture of about 1 1/2 years old. She is an active gal who enjoys running in our yard and playing fetch with the tennis ball. She should do well around older children and a fenced yard is preferred. |

AURORA "That is a hard name to say sometimes, so we just call her Rory!" Aurora is a super-sweet, Hound/Shepherd mix of about 2 - 2 1/2 years old. She recently attended an agility session with us and it took her very little time to catch on! She is very smart knowing several obedience commands. Her main goal in life is to have a family that she can be around and will give her lots of attention. She is a leggy gal weighing about 65-70 pounds. Aurora would need daily, multiple walks or a fenced yard to be in. |

PUNKY Prefer the quiet life at home with little interruption? So does Punky! Punky is a 2-3 year old terrier mix who is quite the little lover to those he knows. Give Punky a little time and he'll give you a lifetime of love! The Punkster gets along well with other dogs and cats but should go to a home with no children. |

DARWIN This handsome fellow is Darwin. Darwin is a 2 year old Jack Russell Terrier. He's a super sweet guy who just wants a lap to lay in. He is being fostered at Camp K9 where he gets to run and play with other dogs all day long and he loves it! JADA This beautiful gal is Jada. Miss Jada is a 5ish year old Border Collie who came from the Tennessee puppy mill last fall. Jada is a super sweet girl who tends to get a little nervous and would do best in a quiet home or working on a farm. Jada absolutely loves to play ball and even knows how to play Flyball! TUG Available on March 13 "Tug" is a seven week old (as of 2-25) mystery mix puppy. He was originally found as a stray and is now looking for a forever home. We are unsure what he is mixed with - but he sure is cute! And he will probably be a medium-sized dog when fully grown. Tug is a great puppy! He has lots of energy and is working on his housebreaking. He loves other dogs no matter what the size. Just a little guy with a big heart. |

SASHA Available in April Sasha is a German Shepherd mix with a super sweet disposition. She is two to three years old, housebroken and initially shy with strangers, but warms up quickly. She has lived with children previously. We don’t know how she is with other dogs and cats yet, but will find out soon. Sasha will be available for adoption about the beginning of April and we are currently taking applications on her. A fenced yard is preferred for her. |
