RANGER

Ranger is a 2  year old, Husky mix who is good with other playful dogs and would do best in a home with older children as he still has a lot of puppy still in him.  A home with NO cats is needed - they are way too inviting!  He is housebroken and crate-trained.  A home with a fenced yard is required. Ranger weighs about 60'ish pounds.

ZOE

Zoe is a 6  year old, Chow mix who needs a quiet home to live out the rest of her years in.  She has a protective nature to her, which can come with the breed mixture.  A home with no children is preferred just because of the low-key activity level that she needs.  She is fine with other non-dominant dogs but no felines please.  Zoe loves to go for car rides and is a nice medium sized dog of about 50 pounds. 

MASON

Mason is a Terrier/Rhodesian Ridgeback mixture of 2 1/2 years old.  We were very lucky to slow him down enough to quickly snap this picture as the words "Mason" and "active" go together when describing this fun pup!  No couch potato for this fellow! He is an eager-to-learn pup who has mastered the "sit" command!  Just come in and ask him.......he will gladly show you!  A home with older children and fenced yard is preferred.  He loves to play with other, active and playful dogs but seems to enjoy chasing the felines "way too much"!  Mason is housebroken and he also loves going for car rides as he sits very nicely and enjoys the ride!

LIBBY

Shy and graceful, Libby is a 6 year old Shepherd mix who just loves to be around that special person!  She has a protective nature about her and will alert you when strangers are around the home.  Libby doesn't mind other dogs, but would do best as the only dog as she just doesn't like to share your attention and does not like other dogs in her face.  Cats are also not her favorite.  A home with teenage + children is recommended.  A fenced yard would be nice, but to help her bond with you, an avid leash walker might be just as nice for her.

ABNOR

Abnor is a 2 1/2 year old lab/beagle mix.  He was diagnosed with epilepsy a year and a half ago.  Adopted as a puppy he was returned for this reason.  Abnor requires daily medications for his condition and a home where his family is able to be home some of the time.   This special-needs pup is loving to everyone he meets.  He enjoys going "bye-bye", knows "crate", sit, shake, stay, lay down and "give kisses".  He has a very laid-back personality and does well with dogs of that same temperament.  Abnor loves his "squeaks", being where you are, and playing ball.  Since being returned his road has been challenging and a family that understands and is committed to his medical needs is important.  Just as important, a family that appreciates the very special dog that he is!  Because he really does have the nose of a beagle, a fenced yard is required.

LACEY

Lacey's former Owner (a volunteer)  passed away and she needs that special person to come in and fall in love.  It's easy to do.  She is friendly with people that she knows well.  Lacey is a Shepherd mix of 8-9 years old.  She really does not care for other dogs, so she would need to be the only canine in the home.  Lacey loves to go for car rides and has excellent manners.  She also enjoys trips to McDonald's for a cheeseburger, but just the burger....no bun please!

BARNEY

Barney is a very sweet, 7 year old, Treeing Walker Coonhound.  He weighs about 65'ish pounds.  He is housebroken and has nice house-manners.   Barney gets along with other dogs most of the time but really does like to receive most of your affection and attention.  He would do best with other dogs his own size or bigger.  A home with NO cats and older children is preferred.  He is an absolute love and really enjoys snuggling with people!  A fenced yard is required.

BUBBLES 

Bubbles came back to us due to her previous Owner passing away, which is very sad.  She is a Collie mix of 6 1/2 years old.  She has a very unique personality of being verbal when you talk to her or give her back scratches (which she enjoys).  She is housebroken and enjoys going for walks.  A home with older children (8+ years or older) is preferred.  Bubbles weighs about 50-55 pounds. Bubbles has excellent house-manners and does do well around most other dogs.  

ANGEL

This long-legged gal is Angel.  She is a 2 year old, Lab/Shepherd mix (right now her coat has been shaved).  She is housebroken and has nice house manners.  Angel has grown to develop a protective nature and she needs time to get to know strangers that come into the home.  She is great once she gets to know you.  She is able to climb a 4' fence so one that is taller or privacy is needed unless you are an avid walker.

MYRTLE

Myrtle is an older gal who is about 12'ish and a Pomeranian.  She weighs only about 10 pounds. Her wishes are to find a quiet home to finish out her retirement years in.  She loves to go for walks.  She has only a few accidents, on occasion, in her crate.  A full dental was done on her as well as blood work and now she is feeling pretty good!

EMILY

Emily is a Cocapoo of about 12 years old.  But...do not let this age confuse you - this gals energy level!  She can easily outrun many of our younger dogs at the shelter!  Emily would do well around other dogs close to her own age as even though she can outrun the youngsters, she would prefer not to put up with them!!  She enjoys going for walks.

TIGGER

Tigger is a female, Shepherd mix of about 7 1/2 months old.  She does well around most other dogs, but tends to be more dominant in her doggie play! This gal can hold her own!  She loves to receive belly rubs and should do well in a home with older children.  A fenced yard is preferred.

SADIE

Sadie-Lady is a 2 1/2 year old Shepherd mix.  She is housebroken and does well around most other dogs that love to play.  She has a protective nature about her and she tends to take more time getting used to Men in the home.  Sadie is very smart and knows many obedience commands and listens very well.  A fenced yard is preferred.

COOPER

Lab mixes give us the happiest pictures!  Cooper is a very happy 3 1/2 year old, Black Lab mix who is housebroken and has very nice house-manners.  He does well around most other dogs, but prefers to hang out with the females!  A home with older children (teenage +) is needed as too much activity makes Coop a little nervous.  A fenced yard is preferred.

NALA

Nala is larger than this picture shows and weighs in at around 85 pounds.  She is a 4 year old, Saint Bernard/Shepherd mix who is housebroken and does well around children.  She should do well around most other dogs.  We recently treated Nala for heartworms.  But, she is feeling all better and ready for her forever home to come around very soon.  A fenced yard is preferred.

CHLOE

Chloe is a beautiful 7 year young Lab/Border Collie mix with maybe some Great Dane in there. An intelligent lady, she knows many obedience commands and tricks, walks well on a leash, and rides politely in a car. She is very affectionate, and is happiest when she is at your side. She loves to pay, and is rarely without a toy in her mouth. She would make a great companion for older children (+8) who want a buddy to play fetch with. She can carry three tennis balls at one time! She has done fine with male dogs who don't mind letting her be queen of the squeaky toys. Chloe likes her privacy when she potties, and so a fenced yard is required for her.

CELIA

Celia is a big-smilin Maltese mix of about 4 years old.  She seeks a home with older or no children as they just make her too nervous.  She would LOVE a human lap to cuddle up on and a more quiet, home setting.  Celia is not too fond of dogs larger than her. HEIDI

Heidi is a Border Collie mix of about 2 1/2 years old.  Heidi is in need of a home that does not have a lot of traffic coming in and out.  Why?  She bonds very strongly with her family and feels the need to be protective over them.  We would love to discuss ways to work on this with you.  Heidi will be a loving and devoted dog to the right person(s).  She loves to play fetch and even frisbee.  If you are into agility, this would be great for her physically and also mentally and she would most definitely EXCEL in it.  A fenced yard is preferred.  A home with teenage children or none is preferred.

LUKE

Luke is a loving, smaller Lab mix of 5 years old.  His buddy, Mya, is pictured below and that is who he came to us with.  We believe Luke has had a tough life before coming to us and has a few minor medical issues which we would love to tell you about.  His happy and loving personality is well worth it!  A fenced yard is preferred.

MYA

Mya is a Husky/Shepherd mix of 5 years old.  She came to us with Luke and will need an owner that is patient and understanding.  She is learning quickly how great it feels to receive love and attention and especially LOVES to be brushed.  Not a mean bone in this body.  She has done well hanging out with Luke, but has been known to be pushy around other dogs.  So, if you already have one, she would need to meet him/her!!  A fenced yard is preferred.

NERO

Nero is a 3 1/2 year old, Jack Russell mix who is quite a nice fellow weighing only about 25 pounds.  He would do best in a home with older children.  He likes most other dogs and a fenced yard is preferred.

MUGZEY

Mugzey is a SharPei of 5 years old (male). He has done well around most other dogs (of his own size or bigger) and should be fine around older children. He is housebroken and has very good house manners. A home with a fenced yard is preferred. 

KIDD

Kidd is a Malamute of about 1 years old.  He is a very friendly and playful boy who enjoys playing fetch.  He should do well around most other dogs.  He is a big boy weighing about 80 pounds right now and still growing!  His new home will need to work on some obedience and be able to provide him with LOTS of exercise.  Kidd is able to climb over chain link fences so a privacy fence is needed.

EDDIE

Eddie just loves whenever "anyone" comes to say hello to him at his kennel door!  He is a Shepherd mix (weighing about 35 pounds) of about 1 - 1 1/2 years old.  We have not tried him around other dogs but do feel he would do best around females.  A fenced yard is preferred.

ARNOLD

Arnold is a very friendly, Shepherd mix of about 3 - 4 years old.  He weighs about 45 pounds.  He enjoys playing with his stuffed toys in his kennel and is always ready for some love and attention.   A fenced yard is preferred.

MARIAH

Mariah is a Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix of about 8 years old.  She is so sweet with all of the dog volunteers and will be with you too!  She needs a more quiet home and one with older children (10+ years) or older.  Mariah loves to play fetch and go for walks.

BITSY

Bitsy has quite the mixture in her but is more of a medium size girl of about 50 pounds.  She is 9 months old and has probably some Lab and Saint Bernard in her.  She is learning that a leash is not such a scary thing and doing quite well.  Almost housebroken and likes most other dogs.  A fenced yard is preferred.

LITTLE GIRL

BERNADETTE

Bernadette or Bernie for short is a 6 year old, Saint Bernard who is on the smaller size (as Saints go).  She is super loving and only wants to be around people.  She is housebroken and loves to go for car rides.  Bernie should do fine around older children and other dogs that are on the docile side.

BENNY

Hi my name is Benny. I was rescued from a shelter because my former owners didn’t want to deal with my bad eye. We have been working with the vet and think we may have the problem figured out. I am a cocker spaniel of 5-6 years old that is housebroken and up to date on my vaccinations. I am also heartworm negative and neutered. I would do well in a house that Is quiet and someone who is prepared to handle my eye issues. I may have to be on medicine my whole life. It’s not a lot of work and I promise to be the best dog if you can find it in your heart to adopt me.

HOPE

This is sweet Hope. A boxer that was rescued from a puppy mill situation. Hope is about 3 years old, has been spayed and is up to date on her vaccinations. She is a loving dog that just would like to please you. She will need to learn many things but we think she is well worth the effort. Hope will make a nice family dog but would need a fenced yard as many things scare her. Everything is new to her.

ROSALIE

   Rosalie is very inquisitive and active. We're thinking there is some terrier in her  She does require a fence.

TOAD

Toad was adopted and returned and we think we finally figured out what he needs in his new home!  Sorry about that Toad!  Anyway, Toad is a very active, 1 1/2 year old Lab/Rottweiler mix who is housebroken and crate-trained.  He really needs another active and playful dog in the home to help get out a lot of energy that this boy has.  He knows many obedience commands and is really a lot of fun to hang out with and play with.  A fenced yard is required.

MONA

Miss Mona is a very pretty Beagle of 1 1/2 years old.  She is spayed and up-to-date on all her shots.  She LOVES to play with other dogs and does fine around cats.  Mona is a loving and active gal!

EDDIE

This Eddie is a Husky/Collie mix of 5 years old.  He is super-sweet and loves being around people.  Eddie enjoys playing with other dogs and is housebroken.  He will need someone that is home more often and a fenced yard to play in would be nice.

JUICE

I am a hound and perhaps shepherd mix of three years old. My former owner had me trained to be a service dog and then didn't keep up the training with me. They then moved and decided not to take me. I know my commands, sit, down, and can heel on a leash. Just a little more work and I can be back to my good manners. I am housebroken, good with cats and other dogs and like just about everyone. I am use to a gentle leader and would require one to walk. I am very strong and want to lead. I was chained outside before so I also need a fenced yard. I would love to be in your forever home.

SAVANNAH

A puppy of 9-11 months Savannah has had a tough beginning. Found as a stray she was taken to a shelter where she caught pneumonia. Rescued from the shelter she was taken very good care of by volunteers until she felt better and then brought to Camp K-9 to get social and learn to be a dog. She has succeeded in becoming a wonderful and very playful dog. Savannah is learning her housebreaking but is very smart and will learn quickly. She is crated trained and heartworm negative. Savannah would require a fenced in yard.

SIESTA

Party-time anyone?  Siesta is ready!  He is a male, Chocolate Lab mix of about 9 months old.  Siesta is a great dog that will need obedience work.  We are in the process of working on that right now!  A home with older children and a fenced yard is needed.

Alfred is a very active Brittany spaniel/hound mix puppy of 3 months. He is the cuddler of the group. He is working on his housebreaking skills. Alfred is good around other dogs and children. He is also smart and learned to "sit" in one training session. A fenced yard is required.

JOKER

Joker is a very active Brittany spaniel/hound mix puppy of 3 months. He is truely the most active of the bunch. He loves to run and play fetch and jump in the baby pool. He will need an active family with older children. He is smart and working on his housebreaking skills along with some basic obedience commands. A fenced yard is required.

 Sweet little Macy, a beagle mix. She has a lot of energy and a real spitfire. We are working on her housebreaking issues but she's smart and should learn quickly. Macy is under a year so lots of puppy left in her. A fenced yard is required. She would do well with children of all ages.

WRIGLEY

 I am a handsome but very active golden retriever of 18 months. I lead a very active life and would need an avenue to burn off my energy. Right now I am "Camping" at Camp k-9 and I love the idea of running for almost 12 hours a day. I am up to date ion my vaccinations and have been neutered. I am heartworm negative and on preventative. Are you a runner or can you spend time with me de-energizing me? Then I'm the man for you. A fenced yard is preferred and experience with the breed a plus.

 PEDRO

I am a 9 year old sweet male Chihuahua. I have a heart murmur but other than that am in good condition. I would love for you to hold me for hours and pet me. I really do well with kids also. Can you open your heart to give me a forever home? I'm really not much of a bother and will love you for many years. Pedro has been neutered and is up to date on all his vaccinations. He is also heartworm negative.

SUZI

I am a 3-5 year old jack Russell terrier. Now don't get too scared about that breed because I'm not your typical jack. My start of life is not so pretty. You see I was housed in a crate and forced to have litters of puppies. I was rescued from that awful life but it has left me a scared little girl. I absolutely love dogs and would need to have at least one dog...or even more....my size to play with. I have learned how to play while vacationing at Camp K-9. I'm a good eater and have had all my shots. No more puppies for me. I especially like Pedro, so if you are looking for two sweet dogs we're a perfect match. I would also need a fenced yard.

SHERRY

Sherry is a Chocolate Labby girl of about 1 years old.  She is super sweet and needs to be reminded from time to time that she really knows some obedience commands!  She really does, but she just gets SO EXCITED and then temporarily forgets.  She appears to be housebroken (at least crate trained for sure) and she should do well around most other dogs.  A home with older children and a fenced yard is preferred.
